Northern Uganda Artist Muferikie Survives Violent Attack.

Shock spread across the Northern Uganda music community after artist Muferikie was assaulted by unidentified attackers on the evening of September 19, 2025.

The incident happened at around 10:00 p.m. while Muferikie was with his manager, preparing for a new project. Witnesses reported that a group of more than ten men in a vehicle suddenly appeared, ambushed him, and forced him inside. He was severely beaten before the gang eventually released him upon realizing he was an artist. Muferikie later sought medical treatment.

The attack has caused widespread concern among fans and fellow entertainers, many of whom took to social media to express solidarity and demand justice. Community leaders have strongly condemned the assault, calling for calm and urging security agencies to strengthen protection for artists and other public figures in the region.

In a remarkable show of resilience, Muferikie released a new song titled “What Do You Gain” the following day. The track delivers a strong message questioning the motives and benefits behind acts of violence, reflecting his personal experience in the attack.
