A suspect has been arrested in connection to the murder of Oroma.
The male suspect who police have declined to identify for purposes of investigation, was arrested on Sunday evening after the body of 22 year old Racheal Oroma was discovered in a drainage system in Pece Pawel central cell in Laroo-Pece division, Gulu city by a 10-year-old girl.
A source at Gulu city Central Police Station confirmed the arrest saying the suspect was found with the deceased’s belongings.
Charles Canowira, the Pece-Pawel Central Cell Chairperson earlier told Mega FM that the victim could have been killed from another area before her body was dumped there.
The body was since been picked and transported to Gulu Regional Referral Hospital mortuary, pending postmortem.
