Gulu City, Uganda – The Committee of Gulu City Oktoberfest, in partnership with the Ruparelia Motor Rally Association, has officially launched the Gulu City Oktoberfest 2025, a grand week-long celebration scheduled to take place from 6th to 14th September 2025 at Kaunda Grounds, Gulu City.
The upcoming edition of Oktoberfest is dedicated in loving memory of the late Rajiv Ruparelia, whose passion for motorsport and community development continues to inspire many. This year’s event will blend culture, entertainment, and adventure, highlighting Northern Uganda’s growing potential as a vibrant destination for tourism and investment.
Among the major activities lined up is the Oktoberfest Motor Rally, which will feature some of Uganda’s finest rally drivers and teams competing through both urban and rural circuits in Acholi sub-region. The race is expected to thrill spectators with displays of skill, speed, and endurance while emphasizing safety and professionalism.
Beyond the rally, the festival will transform Gulu City into a hub of music, art, fashion, and culture. Visitors can look forward to live band performances, DJ mixes, traditional and modern dance showcases, fashion exhibitions, and a wide range of local and international cuisines.
The festival will also host business expos, cultural exchange sessions, and youth engagement programs, creating a platform for innovation, learning, and networking. Organizers say the event’s goal is not only to entertain but also to promote unity, creativity, and economic growth within the region.
Speaking at the launch, officials from the organizing committee described the 2025 edition as “a celebration of life, culture, and progress” — a chance for people from all walks of life to experience the warmth and vibrance of Gulu City.
With the combination of motorsport excitement and rich cultural expression, Gulu City Oktoberfest 2025 promises to deliver an unforgettable experience that will place Northern Uganda firmly on the national and international tourism map.
